This is the image for the news article titled Sound, Music, ImaginationAs a young child Mike Anderson had a grandfather that helped him develop an imagination that led to creating wonderful stories at a young age.  Mr. Anderson shared his adventures that developed around things found in nature such as a stick or a rock.

As an adult he was able to share this love of creating stories and building imaginations by teaching kindergarten.  Today he travels the nation making presentation to children as "The Dulcimer Guy."

Mr. Anderson shared how he had learned to play the "jaw harp" and the perils of learning by doing.  Sometimes as we explore we find a little pain along the way, but,  it can be overcome with determination and practice.  His ability to play the dulcimer and jaw harp gave him the opportunity to provide sound clips for movies, Toy Story 2 was an example.

Students had the opportunity to join Mr. Anderson in familiar songs as he played the dulcimer during the afternoon presentation.

Please ask your child what they learned from the "The Dulcimer Guy".
