About

Sara Ryner

Welcome to West Prairie North Elementary, the north Home of the Cyclones! Nestled in Good Hope, IL, our small but mighty rural school proudly serves approximately 150 hard working, spirited students. Guided by our principal, Sara Ryner, our dedicated and empathetic staff is deeply passionate about fostering a safe, supportive, and joyful learning environment. We strive to spark a lifelong curiosity in every student, nurturing them into creative, independent thinkers and respectful citizens. This journey begins in our thriving Pre-K program, which features two bustling classrooms dedicated to our youngest three- and four-year-old learners.

Life as a Cyclone at the nort is both academic and fun! Principal Ryner and the invested and engaging team ensure that social-emotional growth goes hand-in-hand with academics, supported by uplifting lessons from our school social worker, fine arts and physical education. Our students dive into a colorful world of expression through a fantastic Fine Arts program—featuring lively art and music classes for all ages, plus an exciting band program for our 5th and 6th grade students, alongside high-energy, daily physical education. Best of all, we love bringing our community together for our action-packed Family Engagement nights, including hands-on math and science night, cozy family reading night, and laughter-filled family game night. West Prairie North Elementary is a truly wonderful place for families and young minds to thrive, play, and grow!
