Kate Beck and Layla Dallefeld competed with the 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams at the IESA State Track meet this past week. Both relay teams placed 3rd at the state track meet. They received medals for both events and were recognized at the meet. Congratulations to Kate and Layla and to both relay teams!

Beginning this summer, Illinois will offer Summer EBT, the new grocery program for families with eligible school-age children. Eligible families will receive 120 dollars; 40 dollars each month per child during the summer for groceries starting in June 2024.
If you already receive food benefits SNAP/TANF/ETC/FDPIR
Your school-age children are eligible for the Summer EBT program. Please check in skyward to make sure your address is correct.
If your household income meets the requirements for free and reduced-price school meals, please complete a Household Eligibility Application. This can be found on the school website or call the school for a paper copy.

Today, we would like to acknowledge the 2 wonderful "nurses" at WPNE!
Nurse Kortney Burling is the district nurse and travels between our three buildings. She is a very busy lady and we love seeing her warm smile when she is able to be here with us.
Ms. Nancy also acts as our school "Nurse" when Nurse Kortney can not be in our building. This is just another one of the MANY things that Ms. Nancy does for us and she, too, is so appreciated!
Both of these ladies are always so helpful in taking care of "owies", giving meds, helping with headaches and tummy aches, and everything in between. We're not sure any of us would survive day to day without them and we hope they know how wonderful and appreciated they are!

Beginning Monday morning, May 6, 2024 , and continuing through Friday afternoon, May 10, 2024, the Blandinsville Park bus stop will be moved to the Blandinsville ball field due to the Blandinsville Farmer's Picnic. Bus times will remain the same, only the location has changed. The following week of May 13, 2024, the bus stop will go back to normal.

Come join us for Family Math and Science Night on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Some local businesses will participate to show how they use math and science in their career or business. Our 6th grade students will display and discuss their science fair projects. A lite supper of pizza, carrots, chips and a drink will be provided from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. or until we run out of food for a good will donation. Hope to see you all there!
